Matthew McConaughey affectionately described Jennifer Lopez as a 'five-threat' during a new interview with People.

The 54-year-old performer and the 54-year-old actress costarred as Steve Edison and Mary Fiore in the romantic comedy feature The Wedding Planner, which was originally released in 2001.

The actor - who recently opened up about ditching Los Angeles for Texas - has since recalled that he was greatly impressed by the hitmaker's abilities as an all-around performer while working on the set of the movie. 

McConaughey stated: 'Look, I don't know what a five-threat is, but it's more than a four-threat, a quad-threat… whatever a five-threat is is what she is.'

The Academy Award-winning performer then remarked that the Jenny From The Block singer was able to hit all of her marks as they worked on the project.

'I've never seen someone be able to choreograph something so cleanly and clearly and actually hit the coordination of a scene,' he stated.

'It would be a two-minute scene. Take one's two minutes. Take two is 2:01. Take three is 1:59. Take four, it's 2:01. She had it down,' he said.

McConaughey went on to attribute Lopez's success in the film to 'all the work she would do preparing for the scene.'

'That woman's a worker and knows what she wants to do and she does what she needs to do to pull [it] off. I really appreciate that,' he stated.

The feature was centered on an event planner who unexpectedly fell in love with the groom of a wedding she had organized.

In addition to McConaughey and Lopez, the feature starred performers such as Judy Greer, Justin Chambers and Fred Willard.

The Wedding Planner did not fare well with critics, and it currently holds a rating of 17% on Rotten Tomatoes. 

The feature performed much better with audiences, and it grossed nearly $95 worldwide, per Box Office Mojo.

'You prepare so well for everything you do. I love your intentionality, I love how deliberate you are,' he stated.
